What is an advanced electronic signature?

For a solution to be classified as an advanced electronic signature, it must:

• Be uniquely linked to the signer.
• Allow the identification of the signer.
• Be created using means that the signer can use with a high level of trust and under their exclusive control (not controllable by others).
• Be linked to the signed data so that any alteration can be detected.

All these considerations are covered in article 26 of Regulation (EU) 910/2014, known as the eIDAS Regulation.

2. To initiate a signing process (sending), the user includes the documents to be signed and selects the people they want to involve in the signing process. These recipients will receive an email notification to access the application, verify their identity, and sign.
3. As the signers complete their signatures, the application records all these events and registers them on the blockchain, creating an immutable trace of the entire process.
4. Once the process is completed, all signers receive a certificate with the process data and traceability, in addition to the original files, which are also certified on the blockchain.
